Even though I love my work, which is mainly based on communicating with the digital world, I still think people are a lot cooler.
I always try to be myself, meaning I should be kind, respectful and, most important of all, modest in every situation.
Whenever I need to explain something, I do this visually by sharing an effective video record. Working precise and productive is important, helpful and fun.
Nope, I don't work from 9 till 5. Sun's out at 1 pm? Let's take a break and play a game of tennis. No worries, I compensate this by doing a huge grind session on a Friday night.
You think I'm done whenever a project has been finished? Hell no. I sometimes secretly make a few edits to your project to make it even better. Don't worry - I will update you.
I value relationships more than anything. Before we start working together, I'd like to see the face behind the name. A good cappuccino is a great start.
I avoid stress and time pressure, but I take deadlines very seriously. A brand new website needs it's launch in 21 days? Sure, I'll take the challenge!
With all the replies, forwards and attachments, email can become a bit messy. But, for me it's still one of the best for external communication. I don't reply instantly, but I tend to be pretty quick.
I skip the standard marketing phrases and tiresome poker faces. I go straight into casual play and usually wear dusty sneakers, talk about sports and greet you with 'hey'. Or 'hello'.
It's totally okay if you are impatient and need things to get done as soon as possible. But, don't expect me to put time pressure on you. I know you're busy, so please take your time.
If I'm really unsure if I can bring it to you, I prefer saying 'no' right away and not making you happy, over saying 'yes' and disappointing you at a later stage.
I am constantly trying to improve myself. New skills, different tools, change of software. And, if it's something good, the growing mindset will bring you along.
